Not a Single Knot
George Square, Glasgow and online, 2017
A publication theorising the introduction of a combined Spiritual Cleansing Pool & leisure facility in Glasgow city centre. The text placed fictionalised narratives alongside found legislative writings to depict moments around the structure, accompanied by photographs & diagrams. A particular focus was placed on the regulations surrounding Mikvehs within Judaism, as well as Glasgow City Council stipulations of facilities run through public funding.
The publication was distributed to the public in Glasgow’s George Square by two performers, and was concurrently launched online accompanied by a live CCTV feed of the square rerouted from Glasgow City Council’s website.
